About the Role
Fluor Corporation seeks a dedicated Emergency Dispatcher (Tier 2) to join our team at Wanlaweyn, Lower Shabelle, Somalia. We pride ourselves on building meaningful projects and nurturing careers in a collaborative environment that sparks innovative thinking and fosters teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
The primary duties include receiving emergency information and deploying emergency services personnel efficiently. The dispatcher will monitor communications, field 911 and non-emergency calls through landlines and cell phones, and dispatch appropriate response units. Accurate logging of data and updating tracking systems or reports are essential. Candidates may need to undergo formal training on Automated Information Systems (AIS). All tasks will be performed in compliance with relevant regulations and standards, such as AR 420-1, DoDI 6055.06, NFPA standards, and others. Additional duties may be assigned as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED equivalent, or a similar combination of education and experience.
- Minimum four years of experience in a related role.
- Competence in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding intermediate-level English is necessary to perform the job effectively.
- Physical ability and job knowledge required to execute assigned responsibilities.
- Position may require passing background checks and obtaining security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Authorization to work in the country of employment is mandatory.
