About ShanMukha Innovations
ShanMukha Innovations seeks passionate individuals driven to make meaningful contributions. The Embedded Systems Engineer will collaborate with the R&D team to innovate and enhance products in the Medical Point-of-Care diagnostics field. Projects span from spectrometers to PCR Cyclers, with opportunities to engage in research, data analysis, and academic publishing.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive literature surveys and technology research.
- Design, develop, and evaluate embedded firmware and software for standalone medical devices.
- Create robust communication protocols and secure embedded system architectures.
- Design and integrate electronic hardware, sensors, and peripheral interfaces effectively.
- Develop prototypes and validate electromechanical systems end-to-end.
- Conduct experiments, analyze outcomes, and record technical findings meticulously.
- Manage firmware repositories and implement unit testing when feasible.
- Prepare detailed technical documents, reports, and design archives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electronics, product, and assay groups to create innovative solutions.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- B.E. or B.Tech in Electronics, Computer Science, or related disciplines with a minimum of one year relevant experience.
- Proficient in C/C++ programming tailored for embedded systems.
- Experience with ARM Cortex-M or ESP32 microcontrollers.
- Understanding of Real-Time Operating Systems such as FreeRTOS or Zephyr.
- Familiarity with communication interfaces like I²C, SPI, UART, CAN, USB, or BLE.
- Skilled in Embedded Linux and capable of building standalone graphical user interfaces.
- Experience configuring and programming single board computers such as Raspberry Pi or Tinkerboard.
- Knowledge of GUI frameworks including Qt and Electron.
- Basic grasp of analog and digital electronics fundamentals.
- Proficient with version control systems such as Git and platforms like GitHub.
- Competent in embedded debugging techniques and firmware testing methodologies.
- Strong analytical thinking, documentation expertise, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Basic proficiency with productivity tools like Microsoft Office or equivalents.
Desirable Additional Skills
- Experience with OpenGL/ES and custom GUI graphics development.
- Understanding of full-stack development and REST API creation.
- Python skills for automation, testing, or data analytics.
- Knowledge in FPGA, digital signal processing, or signal processing methods.
- Exposure to project management or Agile software development methodologies.
