Role Overview
The Electrical Equipment Tester will perform thorough inspections and tests on electrical apparatus within commercial and industrial sites, ensuring strict adherence to the latest IET Code of Practice. Maintaining detailed and accurate records for clients and auditors will be a critical part of this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and test electrical appliances following the current IET Code of Practice guidelines.
- Compile and submit test results that align with both company and client standards.
- Adhere rigorously to all Health & Safety policies during assignments.
- Stay informed about regulatory updates and industry best practices.
Essential Skills
- Proficient with Seaward Apollo 500+ testing equipment, smartphones, and CRM software for logging and reporting results.
- Effective verbal communication skills.
- Basic literacy and numeracy competencies.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Dependable with a flexible attitude towards work.
Required Qualifications
- City & Guilds 2377 Certification.
- Valid full UK driving license.
Job Details and Benefits
- Full-time role available immediately.
- Standard contract of 45 hours per week, with paid overtime and travel time.
- Competitive salary starting at £29,835 with on-target earnings up to £40,000.
- Position based in Oxford, England.
- Company-provided work van and testing equipment; candidate responsible for personal hand tools.
- Paid travel time incorporated into daily working hours (1 hour each way).
- If working away from home, accommodation and food allowances are covered, alongside pay for 12 hours per day.
