Electrical Engineer

Role Overview

This position is for an electrical engineering professional who can contribute to detailed design work for solar power plants and high-voltage substations. The role is based in Vadodara, Gujarat, and requires strong practical exposure to electrical design deliverables, engineering calculations, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

The engineer will work on detailed electrical engineering design for solar PV projects, including switchyard and substation engineering for voltage levels such as 33/220 kV and 33/400 kV. The role also involves preparing engineering calculations and layout drawings, along with sizing and design support for major electrical equipment.

Technical Scope

Day-to-day work includes substation studies such as earthing grid design, lightning protection, sag-tension analysis, short-circuit force evaluation, and conductor rating checks for both short-time and continuous conditions. The role further covers the creation of key single-line diagrams, protection SLDs, equipment plans, section layouts, DSLP layouts, earthing layouts, and cable routing layouts.

Equipment and Calculation Work

The selected candidate should be comfortable with detailed sizing calculations for cables, transformers, batteries, UPS systems, CTs, PTs, and related electrical equipment. Experience with electrical equipment placement, cable routing planning, and earthing arrangement design is also important.

Software and Standards

Strong working knowledge of ETAP is expected. The candidate should also be familiar with relevant Indian and international standards, including IS, IEC, IEEE, and CBIP.
