About the Role
Primark, a major international apparel retailer with over 70,000 employees spanning 16 countries in Europe and the US, is expanding with the opening of a new state-of-the-art automated Depot in Newbridge. Founded in 1969 under the Penneys brand, Primark is dedicated to delivering maximum joy with minimal cost and environmental impact. The company plans to operate 530 stores by 2026. We are inviting applications for a meticulous and highly organized Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Administrator to join our Newbridge Depot team during the transition from the Naas Depot. This is a key role to ensure adherence to safety and compliance standards as part of this significant operational change.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and update all health & safety-related documents and records, guaranteeing their accuracy and audit readiness.
- Develop and implement new safe working systems and facilitate their adoption by staff.
- Coordinate audits, inspections, and risk assessments effectively.
- Monitor and track colleague training, certifications, and renewal deadlines.
- Support incident reporting and the follow-through on corrective actions.
- Compile reports, executive summaries, and compliance documentation for management review.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to enhance EHS practices.
- Administer EHS communication by updating policies, procedures, safety alerts, and maintaining safety noticeboards.
- Assist with EHS training initiatives and stay abreast of emerging training methodologies.
- Organize safety meetings, training workshops, and toolbox talks to promote a safety-conscious culture.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital management systems.
- Strong organizational and administrative capabilities with sharp attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills paired with a team-oriented approach.
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with conducting risk assessments and preparing Safe Systems of Work (SSOW).
- Experience working in warehouse or comparable operational environments.
- Awareness of health & safety legislation and ISO standards advantageous (training can be provided).
- Previous roles involving health & safety or compliance duties beneficial.

Work Conditions
- The role operates within shift-based warehouse operations, predominately during standard hours (9:00 AM to 5:30 PM). Weekend work is frequently required, including approximately one Saturday in every four weeks, reflecting the five-day operational schedule over seven days.
- This position requires consistent physical presence on the operational floor to ensure compliance and monitoring.
- The role is fully on-site at the Newbridge Depot.
