Position Overview

Join a dynamic legal team focused on collaborative culture, critical thinking, and meticulous attention to detail in a fully remote role. The Docketing Specialist based in Tampa supports the Client Information Risk Services division by managing various docketing-related functions and collaborating regularly with attorneys, paralegals, and practice assistants. This full-time role involves overseeing projects across local and firm-wide initiatives.

Key Duties

  • Analyze records and input schedules and deadlines accurately into the docketing system.
  • Create, proof, and circulate routine and specialized docketing reports per departmental schedules.
  • Stay current with state, federal, and judges’ rules, distributing relevant date calculation procedures to team members.
  • Identify and resolve conflicting data prior to system entry.
  • Maintain proper retention of source documents and docket confirmations within the Document Management System (DMS).
  • Conduct thorough research on calendaring rules and jurisdictional regulations using docketing software.
  • Apply jurisdictional rules to perform precise date calculations.
  • Understand docketing terminology, processes, and information gathering techniques.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience alongside a minimum of four years in litigation-related roles.
  • Familiarity with CourtAlert or comparable docketing platforms is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and document management software.
  • Knowledge of PACER and electronic court filings.
  • Strong research, analytical, and reasoning skills with a clear grasp of data relationships.
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail consistently demonstrated.
  • Robust verbal and written communication skills enabling effective interactions across all firm levels.
  • Capability to manage multiple concurrent assignments in a variable turnaround setting.
  • Demonstrated ownership and accountability in handling projects and special assignments.
  • Independent judgment and initiative with reliability as a team player and self-starter.
  • Customer service-oriented approach, positive attitude, and a strong professional ethic.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary ranges vary by location, from approximately $60,880 up to $107,160 annually, depending on geographic location and experience, compliant with several state wage transparency laws.
