About the Company

The Role
There are two available managerial roles, each focused on either inbound or outbound operations at the Drury Distribution Centre (DC). Reporting directly to the Distribution Centre Manager, you will oversee a team of 18 to 20 operators and two supervisors. This role demands hands-on leadership with an execution-driven approach, ensuring the inbound stock flows safely, accurately, and efficiently while meeting daily KPIs and continuously improving team performance. You will work alongside your team on the floor, setting benchmarks and consistently driving operational standards upward.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily inbound or outbound operations, delegating tasks to meet productivity targets and KPIs.
- Foster a safety-first environment by enforcing health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and incident procedures.
- Provide coaching, support, and development to operators, maintaining strict performance expectations.
- Ensure accurate stock handling, inventory integrity, and smooth stock movement during receipt.
- Track and analyze productivity; identify and resolve issues through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Plan and manage workforce schedules and staff allocation for optimal resource utilization.
- Maintain cleanliness, equipment upkeep, and preventive maintenance standards in the distribution centre.
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and training new team members.
Experience and Skills Required
- Minimum of five years’ experience in distribution centre or operational leadership at team leader or manager level.
- Demonstrated ability to lead with a hands-on, coaching approach while holding team members accountable.
- Skilled in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), scanner technologies, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong commitment to safety, operational accuracy, and performance excellence.
- Experience managing large teams or working in complex, high-volume environments is a distinct advantage.
- Formal warehousing qualifications are preferred, though not mandatory.
