About the Role
Join our NBB Netzgesellschaft Berlin-Brandenburg mbH & Co. KG team, specializing in operations management of energy networks. In this permanent, full-time position at our modern headquarters on the EUREF-Campus in Berlin-Schöneberg, you will be responsible for the effective and secure monitoring and management of our sub-networks to guarantee optimal distribution and disruption response, all while adhering to legal and technical regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise gas distribution networks and facilities utilizing the network control system.
- Oversee incident response within gas grids and connected installations, ensuring swift and safe resolution.
- Develop, review, and coordinate operational processes and switching schedules.
- Maintain continuous communication with internal departments and network operators upstream or downstream.
Qualifications
- Completed engineering (maintenance, mechanical, electrical), business administration degree, or equivalent significant professional experience (e.g., as electronics technician, plant mechanic, gas system technician, or electrical installation technician).
- Preferably experience in managing utility networks and previous use of network control and remote monitoring systems.
- Competency with IT systems, especially SAP and geographic information systems.
- Strong analytical capabilities and excellent German language proficiency (level C2, spoken and written).
- Ability to remain pragmatic and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Willingness to participate in rotating shift work is mandatory.
- A clean police clearance certificate (the cost will be covered upon hiring) is required.
