Primary Responsibilities

• Establish strategic vision for supply chain operations that aligns tightly with overall corporate goals.
• Guide multidisciplinary teams through analyzing and deploying strategic projects related to inventory control, logistics, transportation, and warehouse efficiency.
• Create compelling business cases for transformative changes, effectively communicating value propositions and overcoming implementation challenges.
• Assess and improve supplier partnerships to achieve optimal value, focusing on service quality, cost-effectiveness, and productivity gains.
• Lead change management initiatives, partnering with senior leadership and operational teams to ensure smooth transitions and successful adoption of new supply chain strategies.
• Collaborate with business units to develop comprehensive, actionable supply chain plans that address both immediate priorities and long-range objectives.

Work Environment and Scope

• The role involves complex problem-solving as defined by senior leadership, requiring detailed analysis and investigation.
• Authority includes making decisions to achieve objectives within organizational policies, possibly revising departmental plans and goals.
• May oversee a department either through multiple managerial layers or directly manage professional senior-level or technical staff.
• Work generally takes place in a comfortable setting but occasionally exposes the individual to mild physical discomfort such as dust or fumes.
• Primarily sedentary job with frequent opportunities to move; occasional lifting of light objects may be needed.
• Travel is expected, ranging between 20% and 50%, often involving overnight stays.

Education and Experience Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Logistics, Supply Chain, or Purchasing is required; an MBA is preferred.
• At least nine years of experience in supply chain or operations strategy, including several years in managerial or supervisory roles.
• Certification in Six Sigma or Lean methodologies, along with proven application of these principles, is desirable.
