Director, Order to Cash

Role Overview

Midland Transport seeks a high-level Director, Order to Cash to be based in Moncton, NB. This position oversees the entire order-to-invoice lifecycle, ensuring swift, precise, and consistent handling of orders from capture to revenue realization. The role is responsible for maintaining data integrity and standards to support operational planning and billing, while spearheading transformative initiatives that enhance process efficiency and customer satisfaction across functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the complete Order-to-Cash (O2C) workflow, guaranteeing prompt and accurate order processing and invoicing.
• Define and enforce enterprise-wide standards for order data accuracy, completeness, and quality.
• Optimize operational effectiveness by ensuring reliable order information for planning, routing, loading, and execution.
• Secure precise capture of all billable services and additional charges to prevent revenue loss and billing mistakes.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Pricing, Operations, Customer Service, Accounts Receivables, and IT teams to streamline processes and address concerns.
• Lead projects aimed at minimizing billing delays, disputes, and invoice corrections while elevating invoice quality.
• Drive O2C modernization by introducing process improvements, automations, and digital solutions such as EDI, APIs, and customer portals.
• Work jointly with IT to improve system integration, data flow, scalability, and continuous process refinement.
• Develop and mentor high-performing teams, promoting accountability, customer service focus, data-driven decisions, and embracing continuous improvement and change.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related discipline; Prosci certification is advantageous.
• Over 8 years of experience in transportation, logistics, order management, or supply chain operations.
• At least 5 years of advanced leadership managing large cross-functional teams in order management, customer experience, or operational roles.
• In-depth understanding of Order-to-Cash processes, order systems, and operational execution.
• Proficiency with ERP, TMS, order management, and billing platforms, including the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Practical experience with EDI, API integrations, process automations, and system upgrades.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and collaboration skills with influence at all organization levels.
• Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving abilities, proven track record of leading process enhancements and transformational initiatives.
