Role Summary
We are seeking a Director of Global People Operations to serve as the principal architect and operational leader for our worldwide HR systems and multinational compliance efforts. This critical position involves both strategic framework development and hands-on management to scale and modernize our global People infrastructure. Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, you will collaborate closely with the People team and Centers of Excellence to ensure seamless global workforce operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and configure global HRIS systems and associated tools such as ATS, payroll, and equity platforms to uphold data accuracy.
- Design and implement scalable processes for onboarding, role changes, leaves, and offboarding.
- Enhance service delivery through internal documentation management, intranets, and employee support ticket systems to optimize employee experience.
- Develop and maintain people analytics dashboards and reports to inform leadership about headcount, turnover, and operational metrics.
- Collaborate with Finance and Legal departments to deliver accurate, timely payroll and competitive benefits worldwide.
- Ensure compliance across international subsidiaries by maintaining precise people records and overseeing local labor law adherence, work hours, benefits, and data privacy regulations including GDPR and PDPA.
- Oversee global PEO and EOR partnerships to facilitate compliant international hiring processes.
- Lead and mentor the international HR operations team, starting with direct management of the HR Business Partner in France.
- Serve as the principal HR advisor for international executive leadership and teams across Europe, Canada, and Asia-Pacific regions.
- Coordinate with US HR Business Partners, Recruiting, and Compensation teams to implement company programs such as job leveling and performance evaluations in international contexts.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience in HR operations, managing global HRIS platforms, and international payroll, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Proven expertise in managing HR operations within complex international corporate environments involving multiple subsidiaries or joint ventures.
- Practical experience handling payroll, benefits, and compliance across several international jurisdictions.
- Demonstrated passion for systems design and automation complemented by hands-on execution of process audits and system maintenance.
- Strong knowledge managing compliance and vendor relationships for varied employment types, including full-time employees and contractors.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience overseeing employee stock education and equity distributions in publicly traded or mature private technology companies.
- Familiarity with complex global M&A integrations.
- Proven ability to address intricate international employee relations under stringent local labor laws.
