Role Overview

The Director Global Logistics, a fully remote full-time position, is charged with leading comprehensive global logistics operations that underpin DwyerOmega’s worldwide supply chain. This role involves crafting and implementing logistics strategies to enhance transportation, warehousing, and distribution while balancing cost-efficiency, service quality, and performance metrics. The director will foster and maintain relationships with carriers and third-party logistics providers, ensuring adherence to international trade laws and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the formulation and execution of logistics approaches improving transport, storage, and distribution efficiency.
• Manage collaborations with carriers and 3PLs, overseeing contracts and ensuring service standards.
• Analyze logistics data systematically to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Partner with procurement, operations, and customer service teams to resolve complex logistics challenges.
• Establish departmental objectives, mentor logistics personnel, and contribute to strategic planning for logistics network growth.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Extensive expertise in global logistics and management of multi-country operations.
• Competence in transportation management, including carrier selection and freight cost optimization.
• Experience in managing third-party logistics partners, contract negotiation, and service level monitoring.
• Strong supply chain management knowledge encompassing demand forecasting, inventory control, and process integration.
• Proven leadership background managing diverse, distributed teams at senior levels.
• Advanced data analysis skills with familiarity in TMS, WMS, and ERP systems to guide informed decisions.
• Comprehensive understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and compliance standards.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities across global teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or related disciplines; advanced degrees or certifications such as APICS or CSCMP are advantageous.
• Prior experience in industrial, manufacturing, or technology sectors is a plus.
