About the Role

We are seeking a Business Development Director to join our New Zealand team, preferably based in Auckland, New Plymouth, or Wellington. Reporting directly to the Managing Director and part of the Senior Leadership Team, this role leads the sales department and drives growth across the entire company. This position suits a senior sales expert with a solid background in engineering, project management, or construction, passionate about helping us become the top project delivery company in Aotearoa.

Our team in New Zealand operates across six offices, serving clients primarily in the energy, water, and industrial sectors. We engage comprehensively from early-stage engineering and consulting to final installation and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business strategies to drive company expansion.
  • Establish and nurture strategic partnerships and customer relationships.
  • Identify, bid for, and secure new and existing business opportunities.
  • Leverage our strong engineering, project delivery, and construction expertise to offer services effectively.
  • Preferably based in Auckland, New Plymouth, or Wellington, though location is flexible.

Qualifications and Experience

  • In-depth knowledge of New Zealand's engineering and contracting landscape in energy, water, and industrial sectors.
  • Established network of customers across both North and South Islands.
  • Possession of a tertiary qualification.
  • Proven track record in business development within related industries; experience with project delivery is highly valued.
  • Capability to engage and influence executive-level stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in bid and proposal management.
  • Strong communication and persuasive presentation skills.
  • Legal right to live and work in New Zealand is mandatory.
