Role Overview
This opportunity is for a direct tax professional to support a client’s tax function in Mumbai. The role involves assisting with tax filings, handling assessment-related work, and contributing to advisory and compliance tasks across domestic and cross-border matters.
Key Work Areas
- Help prepare and submit tax-related documentation for assessments, reassessments, and appellate proceedings.
- Support ongoing compliance work and make sure deadlines prescribed under law are met.
- Assist in evaluating tax exposure on international transactions.
- Draft and review tax memoranda and legal opinions.
- Coordinate work across multiple assignments and project streams.
Candidate Profile
- Should be a semi-qualified Chartered Accountant dropout.
- Role is intended for a male candidate.
- Working knowledge of Income-tax provisions will be considered an advantage.
- Must be able to research Indian tax laws as well as international tax treaty provisions.
Compensation
The position offers a salary package of INR 5,00,000 to INR 6,00,000 per year.
