Role Overview

The Demand Planner is tasked with creating and sustaining precise demand projections for Wolfi's Sport Trading product range. This role guarantees product accessibility and optimal inventory by evaluating historical sales, seasonal impacts, promotions, and market factors. It involves working cross-functionally with Procurement, Sales, Marketing, and Logistics to facilitate informed planning and purchasing, thereby minimizing stock shortages and surpluses and enhancing supply chain performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and update continuous demand forecasts at SKU and category levels leveraging historical sales data and trend examination.
• Coordinate with Procurement and Sales to synchronize forecast assumptions with market insights and commercial strategies.
• Recognize demand fluctuations related to seasonality, promotions, and product lifecycle phases.
• Interpret sales patterns, inventory statuses, and forecast reliability to refine planning processes.
• Produce regular reports and visual dashboards to guide supply and purchasing choices.
• Track vital indicators like forecast precision, inventory turnover, and service quality.
• Assist in inventory management by recommending replenishment amounts and reorder approaches.
• Collaborate with warehouse and procurement units to maintain sufficient stock levels along the supply chain.
• Prevent excess and obsolete inventory via proactive planning and data assessment.
• Serve as the key link between Sales, Procurement, and Logistics ensuring demand aligns with supply capabilities.
• Support new product introductions and promotional activities through accurate volume forecasting.
• Communicate forecast updates and potential risks promptly to relevant parties.
• Utilize ERP systems and planning tools to oversee demand data and enhance forecast accuracy.
• Lead ongoing enhancement initiatives for demand planning and forecasting techniques.
• Keep abreast of industry best practices and innovations to uphold operational excellence.

Candidate Requirements

• 2 to 4 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analytics.
• Strong analytical aptitude to convert data and market trends into actionable plans.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP platforms, and demand planning software.
• Excellent communication abilities and collaborative skills across functions.
• Meticulous attention to detail combined with a systematic and results-oriented approach.
