Job Details
Delivery drivers can choose to use their own vehicles with adjustable mileage reimbursement covering fuel and vehicle expenses or use company-provided cars if they meet age and driving record requirements. Safe driving is essential.
Work Environment
- Exposure to various weather conditions including extreme temperatures ranging from 36°F in storage areas to above 90°F in some work zones.
- Possible exposure to food odors and cornmeal dust.
- Work involves compact spaces such as walk-in coolers and handling hot equipment like ovens exceeding 500°F.
- Contact with sharp edges and moving mechanical parts occurs in the workplace.
Physical Requirements
- Walking, carrying, and climbing stairs (up to 5 or more flights) are part of delivery tasks.
- Frequent driving within designated delivery areas using safe practices.
- Bending, stooping, crouching, and reaching above shoulder height are repeated activities throughout the day.
- Continuous use of hands requiring fine motor coordination for handling pizza dough, cutting, and packaging.
Candidate Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Reliable vehicle ownership and valid insurance are necessary if not using company cars.
- Ability to read maps and independently navigate delivery routes including multi-story buildings.
- Capability to follow instructions, work independently and as a team member, handle stressful situations, maintain quality control, provide excellent customer service, analyze data, and make sound decisions.
