Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Data Specialist to work remotely on a full-time basis supporting AI data initiatives. This position focuses on managing quality datasets essential for AI model training and evaluation. The successful candidate will ensure the precision and appropriateness of labeled data, improve annotation procedures, and contribute to the overall data pipeline enhancement for machine learning projects.
Primary Responsibilities
- Examine and validate human-annotated data sets to guarantee uniformity and accuracy for training AI models.
- Detect and correct inconsistencies in data labeling by referencing original sources and predefined guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to update annotation instructions and elevate data quality benchmarks.
- Track and communicate labeling performance indicators to monitor progress and reveal patterns.
- Support the documentation of workflows and maintain comprehensive records of data sources, annotation criteria, and quality assurance procedures.
Qualifications and Skills
- Prior experience with data annotation, labeling, or quality assurance is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and familiarity with basic data validation methods during dataset reviews.
- Ability to adhere to specific instructions and maintain consistency in data handling tasks.
- Basic knowledge of AI and machine learning principles, particularly regarding the critical role of quality training data.
- Competency in managing and organizing data using spreadsheets or equivalent tools.
