Data Scientist (m/w/d)

About the Role

A leading global consumer intelligence company is seeking a skilled Data Scientist to join their team. This role involves developing and deploying advanced AI-driven consumer insight solutions, collaborating closely with product and engineering teams to enhance a sophisticated SaaS platform that delivers automated insights to researchers and global brands.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement Agentic AI systems using frameworks like Pydantic AI, including managing tool registries, prompt engineering, grounding strategies, and orchestrating workflows based on large language models (LLMs) across multiple AI-powered products.
• Develop, prototype, train, and deploy machine learning models ranging from supervised and unsupervised approaches to LLM-based systems within production environments.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to translate business needs into technical solutions and integrate AI and data science capabilities into the platform.
• Support AI monitoring and evaluation by employing tools such as Langfuse and inspect-ai to track, trace, and enhance AI performance in production settings continuously.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in Data Science and AI, with expertise in statistical techniques and building reliable production systems.
• Hands-on production experience developing agentic AI or LLM-based applications, including prompt engineering, tools usage patterns, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
• Proficiency in Python programming and familiarity with relevant tools and frameworks such as FastAPI, Pydantic/Pydantic AI, Pytest, Pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn.
• Experience integrating LLM providers like Azure OpenAI or Anthropic.
• Capability to write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, with an understanding of automated testing and CI/CD workflows.
• Strong command of English with excellent communication skills.
