Data Governance Engineer

Overview

We are looking for a proactive Data Governance Engineer to develop, deploy, and automate enterprise-level data governance solutions on contemporary cloud data platforms for a distinguished client based in Dubai, UAE.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and automate data governance capabilities by leveraging platforms such as Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Alation, or Informatica.
• Manage Data Catalogs, Metadata, and Data Lineage to ensure data traceability and control.
• Engineer data quality processes using tools like Soda, Great Expectations, or Collibra Data Quality.
• Develop and integrate governance controls into ETL/ELT workflows and data platform pipelines.
• Apply Data Classification techniques, Access Control measures, and Stewardship workflow management.
• Operate within cloud environments including Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, or Microsoft Fabric.
• Possession of certifications such as DAMA CDMP, Microsoft Purview, or relevant cloud certifications.
• Knowledge of automating governance processes and integrating CI/CD pipelines.
