About the Role
NVIDIA invites applications for the position of Data Center Infrastructure Specialist within its Professional Services division. This role involves collaborating on significant data center projects that support leading academic and commercial institutions worldwide in deep learning, data analytics, and data center operations. The successful candidate will join a vibrant, customer-oriented team requiring outstanding interpersonal abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute robust data center infrastructure solutions tailored to customer requirements.
- Work alongside different teams to ensure smooth deployment of data center projects.
- Plan data centers comprehensively including layout design, rack placement, and system simulation.
- Design and plan cable deployments ensuring precise connection counts, port allocation, scheduling, and adherence to established standards.
- Implement and provide support for NVIDIA products within data centers.
- Review and update work instructions related to data center functions.
- Contribute inputs to updates of Data Center Standards, managing multiple priorities and participating in project discussions.
- Maintain thorough documentation and logs of operational events.
- Supervise on-site operations conducted by partners and external vendors.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a data center infrastructure engineer, field service engineer, or equivalent role involving data center design and deployment.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant discipline.
- Strong expertise in data center environments, including server and network hardware.
- Hands-on experience installing, monitoring, and maintaining data center technology.
- Deep understanding of networking, storage solutions, and virtualization platforms.
- Excellent analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in fast-paced, dynamic team settings.
- Strong communication and people skills, with professional process documentation capabilities.
- Willingness to travel as required for project needs.
Preferred Attributes
- Relevant network certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Juniper Networks Certified Associate - Junos (JNCIA-Junos).
- Familiarity with InfiniBand technology.
- Experience engaging with research and development as well as network engineering teams.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication talents.
