About The Team

The Data Science division at Stripe consists of a dynamic group where data analysts and scientists collaborate and develop skills together. This role offers exposure to critical datasets that influence company-wide strategies. We house multiple Data Analytics positions across different teams and align candidates with teams that best match their expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with various teams to equip Stripe’s products, users, and business segments with models, data products, and insights essential for informed decision-making and responsible growth.
• Extract meaningful insights from complex, voluminous data to support business objectives.
• Partner with leaders to translate business challenges into data-centric problems.
• Build and maintain metrics, scalable data pipelines, dashboards, and reports that facilitate business operations.
• Communicate actionable recommendations through in-depth analysis and compelling data storytelling.

Candidate Profile

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master’s (MS or MA) with at least 2 years, or Bachelor’s (BS or BA) with 3 years of relevant full-time experience in Business Intelligence Engineering, Data Analysis, or Business Analysis (excluding internships).
• Strong proficiency in SQL.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects attentively and deliver quality results.
• Effective communication skills to present findings and influence business impact.
• Experience designing, implementing, and managing data pipelines and dashboards tailored to stakeholder needs.
• Proven success working with cross-functional teams to provide strategic insights, benchmarks, and actionable advice.
• Expertise enabling stakeholders by building self-service tools and delivering training to promote data literacy and independence in reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background in growth-stage internet or software companies.
• Familiarity with distributed data processing frameworks such as Spark to author and debug pipelines.
• Knowledge of software development best practices including engineering standards, code review, and testing.
• Strong statistical expertise.
• Proficient in Python programming.
• Experience developing executive-level reporting including Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs).

Workplace Expectations

Employees assigned to office locations, including Bengaluru, India, are expected to spend 100% of their working time onsite to support effective collaboration and user engagement. Different teams may have varied in-office attendance requirements, which will be communicated by hiring managers.
