About the Role
Join Flatiron Health as a Data Analyst in Product Data Science and contribute to improving lives by analyzing data derived from cancer patients' experiences. You'll primarily collaborate with the Data Capabilities team to sustain and enhance operational tools and metrics that facilitate real-world evidence delivery and serve our customers’ needs. Your work will involve creating interactive data visualizations, building ad-hoc analytical tools, conducting experiments, and developing predictive models.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and transform data and metadata into meaningful insights using rigorous statistical approaches and clear, accessible visual representations tailored for internal stakeholders.
- Design, document, and sustain operational performance metrics for various teams.
- Provide actionable analytic insights through the development and maintenance of data tools and dashboards for operations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to define and support experimental designs and projects aimed at optimizing internal workflows or prioritizing software features.
- Proactively suggest new analytical avenues to support Flatiron's ambitious objectives.
Collaboration
This role involves partnerships with clinical quality managers, clinical data analysts, abstraction operations, data scientists, and other members within Flatiron's Evidence Organization.
Candidate Profile
- Between 1 to 3+ years of experience in data analysis and visualization utilizing business intelligence tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Apache Superset.
- Holds a BS or MS in a technical discipline like data science, engineering, computer science, mathematics, applied statistics, or health economics, or has acquired equivalent programming skills independently.
- Proficient in SQL and Python (with pandas library).
- Experienced in automating and manipulating spreadsheets using Excel (including VBA) and Google Sheets (with Google App Scripts).
- A self-motivated individual able to prioritize and resolve issues autonomously in uncertain environments.
- Strong communicator capable of simplifying complex analyses to deliver impactful narratives.
- Comfortable collaborating within remote and distributed teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with dbt and Airflow orchestration tools.
- Experience using AI-assisted coding tools like Cursor or Claude Code.
- Previous experience in Operations or oncology/clinical data fields.
- Knowledge of experimental design and predictive modeling techniques.

Compensation Details
The base salary ranges from $88,000 to $121,000 annually and may vary depending on geographic location, knowledge, skills, and experience. Additional benefits include potential bonuses, equity, and extensive medical and financial programs.
