Job Summary
The Analyst Level 2 role is centered on turning data into practical decisions for the department and the wider organization. This position focuses on examining product performance, uncovering insights, and helping teams make informed choices that improve product offerings. The work combines data analysis with a solid understanding of product development and performance measurement. The analyst will also help simplify reporting workflows, partner with stakeholders to define dashboard needs, maintain data quality, and keep reporting systems evolving for the team. In this role, the person is expected to work independently on data-driven solutions that shape decisions across the business, with a broad understanding of business functions that supports analysis for the provider management function.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Analyze data in depth to spot trends, actionable insights, and product opportunities that can strengthen performance.
- Prepare and present ad hoc reports and dashboards for different stakeholders while maintaining timely and accurate delivery.
- Apply strong data quality, integrity, and consistency standards across all reporting and analysis work.
- Build, maintain, and improve product reporting systems that monitor KPIs and other essential metrics.
- Create and document reporting logic so calculations, aggregations, and data transformations are clearly defined and verified.
- Carry out QA checks on reports and dashboards to confirm accuracy and consistency across platforms.
- Review data assumptions and reporting logic with stakeholders to ensure business alignment.
- Work with cross-functional partners to understand reporting needs and provide data-backed recommendations.
- Support teams in developing new product features or changes by sharing insights derived from data analysis.
- Make sure dashboards and reports align with business objectives and deliver meaningful insights to users.
- Improve reporting workflows so they remain efficient, scalable, and suited to changing business needs.
- Keep up with updates and capabilities in Power BI and related tools, applying new methods to reporting and dashboard development.
- Look for opportunities to create new dashboards and products that strengthen product insight and support better decisions.
- Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements for new dashboards, reports, and visualizations in Power BI.
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards that help stakeholders quickly understand key product data.
- Partner with the Data analytics team to build new Qlik dashboards that meet user needs and scale for future use.
- Prepare detailed documentation for reporting logic and dashboard features.
Qualifications
This role calls for a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Business, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Economics, along with 5 years of experience in product analytics, data analysis, or a closely related position focused on reporting and dashboard creation. Candidates should bring strong SQL and Python skills for extracting, transforming, and analyzing large datasets, writing reusable functions, resolving errors, and optimizing queries and scripts. Advanced Excel expertise is also important, including the ability to build complex formulas, use logical and statistical functions, and create dashboards.
Additional expectations include hands-on experience documenting and QAing reporting logic for complex datasets and KPIs, extensive use of Power BI to develop and optimize dashboards and reports, and exposure to product-led or technology-driven organizations. Familiarity with Agile ways of working and cross-functional collaboration is required, along with the ability to assess risks with stakeholders and translate business needs into plain language. Experience with other reporting and data visualization tools, automated reporting workflows, and efficiency improvements will be valuable. The role also calls for experience in designing user interfaces with an emphasis on information delivery, strong analytical ability, clear communication, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
