Data Analyst - Business

Role Summary

This contract position is for a Business Data Analyst working remotely from anywhere in Canada. The role is focused on turning large, complex datasets into practical insights that can guide business choices.

Core Responsibilities

• Gather data, clean and organize it, and run statistical analyses on sizable datasets to identify patterns and trends.
• Create and update dashboards and reports that clearly present key performance indicators and business insights.
• Work with teams across functions to understand data needs and make sure analytics outputs support business goals.
• Prepare on-demand reports and visual presentations to help different departments make informed decisions.
• Check data for accuracy and consistency through validation steps and quality control reviews.

Skills and Qualifications

• Ability to write SQL queries and work with relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with data visualization platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Strong analytical thinking and the ability to interpret complex datasets.
• Understanding of statistical analysis and data modeling methods.
• Proficiency in Python or R for data handling and analysis.
• Comfort using Excel, including advanced formulas and pivot tables.
• Careful attention to detail and the ability to work with limited supervision.
• Clear communication skills for presenting findings to non-technical audiences.

Work Arrangement

Compensation
