About the Role

The Senior Cybersecurity Assurance Consultant leads and enhances the delivery of assurance services related to cybersecurity, information security, and compliance assessments. This role involves translating strategic directives into operational initiatives, managing assurance teams, and continually improving processes aligned with relevant national and international standards.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, direct, monitor, enhance, and maintain assurance services.
Convert department strategy into actionable projects and programs.
Provide practical solutions to challenges in operating and promoting assurance services.
Regularly evaluate and increase the efficiency and effectiveness of departmental operations.
Manage departmental teams ensuring optimal resource utilization.
Collaborate with other departments for project and operation delivery.
Set department objectives and key results.
Liaise with senior management to address resources and requirements for departmental benefit.
Oversee development of deliverables associated with NISCF.
Assign tasks within the NISCF team and establish effective operations for NISCF assurance services.
Engage stakeholders to provide expert insights and address operational challenges.
Coordinate interactions between NCSA departments and external parties to promote assurance services adoption.
Lead, mentor, and manage NISCF personnel, including certification and accreditation specialists, guiding their professional growth and operational effectiveness.

Qualifications and Experience

Master’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, or a related discipline; alternatively, at least 18 years of relevant professional experience.
A minimum of 5 years in audit and assurance roles.
At least 4 years’ experience in specialized assessment or auditing.
Demonstrated hands-on expertise in cybersecurity, information security, IT auditing, and assurance services.

Technical and Professional Skills

Deep understanding of risk management and compliance assessment methodologies.
Familiarity with international standards such as ISO 27001, COBIT, NIA, and Common Criteria.
Knowledge of accreditation and certification frameworks including ISO 17021, 17024, 17025, 17065, and 27006.
Experience in governance, regulatory compliance, and development of management systems.
Proven skills in project management and leading teams.
Professional certifications related to auditing, compliance, or risk management are preferred.
Effective experience working with senior executives and decision-makers.

Additional Information

Language requirement: English (mandatory).
