Customer Delivery Driver - Wrexham Extra

About the Role

We are seeking dedicated Customer Delivery Drivers to join us in Wrexham, delivering orders from our store directly to customers. This role goes beyond driving; it combines service, care, and interaction as you bring essential shopping to customers’ doorsteps, often becoming a friendly face to the community. You'll enjoy a hands-on, dynamic working environment where each day offers variety and the chance to work semi-autonomously with strong team support.

Availability & Working Hours

• Sunday: 09:00 – 19:00
• Monday: 08:00 – 20:00
• Friday: 08:00 – 20:00
• Saturday: 08:00 – 20:00

Shifts will be scheduled within these windows, and you will receive a minimum of 3 weeks’ notice. We guarantee at least 16 hours weekly, with opportunities available for as few as 12 hours for those seeking flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of your delivery van and trays.
• Ensure the loading area and yard remain tidy and clear of litter.
• Participate in washing trays as part of the operational process.
• Check van roadworthiness and load it appropriately for deliveries.
• Engage with customers to discuss order changes or substitutions, offering refunds when needed.
• Handle products carefully as if they were your own, ensuring quality service.
• Inform customers that substitutions carry no extra charges.
• Deliver within each customer's allocated time slot.
• Contact customers before arriving if running early and notify the store if delayed by 30 minutes or more.

Candidate Profile & Requirements

• Foster strong team relationships to enhance store performance.

• Respond quickly and positively to changing customer needs and store dynamics.
• Demonstrate motivation to exceed expectations while balancing work and personal life.
• Offer ideas to management and peers to improve store and customer experience.
• Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA full driving licence (manual or automatic) held for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
• Comply with Great Britain Domestic Driving Regulations.

• Starting pay at £14.18 per hour (£15.45 within the M25 area), with potential additional bonuses based on location.
