Role Overview

Join the innovative 2-Hour Learning initiative that empowers students to complete core academic lessons in just two focused hours daily. Beyond academics, students engage in creative and physical activities like podcasting, mural creation, and gymnastics in the afternoons. As a Curriculum Specialist, you will be the key driver maintaining and evolving this groundbreaking learning method using AI data insights from anywhere with internet access.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate detailed Academic Data Reports and conduct methodical reviews to spot issues or anomalies, implementing necessary corrections within two days.
• Lead swift intervention and coaching sessions post-assessment to remove learning barriers, distinguish errors from knowledge gaps, and keep students motivated.
• Evaluate and integrate new educational tools and materials; develop AI and large language model prototypes that enhance learning techniques and overcome challenges.
• Work closely with leadership to refine educational tools, dashboards, and mastery criteria as AI tutors evolve.

Exclusions

• No attendance required at excessive meetings or creation of generic presentations lacking real impact.
• You will not engage in grading, traditional lesson planning, or management of conventional academic programs as AI drives these functions.
• The role is active and dynamic, avoiding purely strategic or monotonous tasks.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience in data science, education, EdTech, or a student support role blending analytics with interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Google Sheets for data analysis, including lookups, pivot tables, and filtering.
• Strong emotional intelligence paired with effective communication and a nurturing coaching style for students.
• Practical experience designing AI-based workflows and automations.
• Minimum one year working directly with K-8 students.
• Availability to work weekday mornings from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM Central Time.

Preferred Attributes

• Background in learning science, educational theory, or success improving outcomes through data-driven strategies.
• Experience with generative AI, prompt engineering, and programming skills (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for AI API integration.

Employment Details

This full-time role entails a 40-hour workweek with immediate start as an independent contractor under agreement with Crossover. Compensation is $30 per hour, equating to an annual salary of $60,000 based on 40 hours weekly over 50 working weeks. Payments are made weekly.
