Crewing Officer (Diving)

Job Overview

We are seeking a Crewing Officer specializing in diving operations to support the daily operational needs and personnel management of Diving Projects (DP) vessels, barges, and related projects located in Abu Dhabi. This role reports to the Diving Operations Manager and requires overseeing personnel mobilization and demobilization for offshore activities under general supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a comprehensive Master Certification Register for approved diving and offshore personnel integrated with the personnel management system.
• Update and implement crew rotation schedules, ensuring the execution of approved crewing strategies.
• Verify the authenticity and compliance of diving certifications and personnel documents according to HSE, IMCA, and company standards.
• Collaborate closely with the Diving Operations Manager to plan crew changes and manage unscheduled diving personnel movements.
• Coordinate with Project Managers to organize diving personnel requirements for ongoing and future projects.
• Manage understanding and timely processing of visa and work permits to meet project timelines.
• Accurately document all personnel movements and working details for payroll processing.
• Arrange travel and accommodation logistics for offshore personnel as needed.
• Interface with logistics coordinators to optimize crew change efficiency.

Performance and Management

• Assist management with employee relations issues, disciplinary investigations, and hearings by providing professional guidance and support.
• Address inquiries from diving staff concerning employment-related matters promptly.
• Review and authorize compensation changes and process personnel expense claims.
• Develop and recommend hiring strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
• Create and maintain dashboards to generate reliable reports on crewing metrics focusing on operational effectiveness and cost optimization regarding crew expenses such as travel and overlap.
• Develop and oversee crew training and development programs.

Required Competencies

Additional Information

Position offers a monthly salary between AED 10,000 and AED 12,000. The job location is in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates. This is a full-time onsite role reporting to the Diving Operations Manager within the diving department.
