Role Summary
As a Credit Risk Analyst, you will be instrumental in evaluating and managing credit exposure across a diverse portfolio that includes institutional and corporate clients. Your responsibilities include developing detailed credit memoranda and financial models, delivering insights on market and industry trends, collaborating with internal teams to ensure accurate credit ratings, engaging in transaction due diligence, structuring and documentation, and supporting robust credit and regulatory reporting. Participation in various initiatives and project workstreams is also expected.
Responsibilities
- Manage credit exposures within an assigned portfolio spanning multiple industries and credit products, working alongside senior team members.
- Draft proactive credit memoranda accompanied by financial models to assess risks related to new client onboarding and existing client evaluations.
- Monitor industry and market developments to evaluate their effects on clients under coverage.
- Recommend and continuously review internal credit ratings.
- Support senior colleagues in due diligence, structuring, and documentation tasks for new transactions.
- Engage with internal stakeholders including client coverage and product banking teams.
- Compile and oversee compliance with credit and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Contribute to ad-hoc projects, initiatives, and ongoing workstreams.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in accounting, business, finance, or a quantitatively oriented discipline.
- Experience within credit risk management or credit analysis in institutional, investment banking, or corporate banking environments.
- Ability to identify critical issues concerning clients, their industries, and transaction frameworks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities alongside strong interpersonal skills.
- Effective time management, capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Proven ability to build relationships and confidently interact with origination teams and internal stakeholders.
- Interest or experience in developing AI/LLM-powered solutions.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including complex financial model navigation, as well as familiarity with PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
Preferred Additional Skills
- Competency in Python programming.
