Role Summary
We are looking to hire a full-time Cost Analyst to work onsite at our Ville St-Laurent office. This vital role will support various cost accounting activities, data monitoring, and performance evaluation. The individual will serve a central analytical function by examining results and actively maintaining and updating monitoring tools and reporting systems.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Engage in periodic cost accounting processes, ensuring the preparation and accuracy of required data.
- Collaborate with production teams to maintain and update production tracking documents.
- Gather, consolidate, and perform analyses on operational and financial information sourced internally.
- Work with stakeholders to deliver dependable, structured, and actionable data.
- Help identify, analyze, and track discrepancies between standard and actual costs, alongside monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Assist in generating periodic reports and analyses essential for operational and financial decision-making.
- Contribute to continuous enhancements of cost models, tools, dashboards, and reporting methodologies.
- Support the update and review of production costs associated with the current product range.
- Take part in preparing cost estimations and analytical reports necessary for product range expansions or new product introductions.
Qualifications
- A degree in finance, accounting, business administration, data science, or a closely related discipline is required.
- Previous experience in a comparable cost analyst role is advantageous.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory.
- Fluency in French is required; functional English proficiency is necessary to coordinate with teams both within and outside Quebec.
- Familiarity with ERP systems or data visualization platforms like Power BI is beneficial.
- Strong analytical rigor, meticulous attention to detail, and capability to organize complex datasets effectively.
- Ability to collaborate seamlessly across departments and juggle multiple priorities efficiently.
