Cool Room Labourer

About the Role

We are offering a permanent, full-time position based in Stuart Park, Northern Territory, working with a globally recognized dairy company known for its iconic brands. The role is physically hands-on within the Cool Room team, positioned at the end of the production line where finished dairy products are moved, stacked, and prepared for picking and distribution.

Key Responsibilities

• Unload and stack crates of finished products for storage, picking, packing, and distribution.
• Accurately pick, palletize, label, and dispatch customer orders ensuring timely truck loading and unloading in accordance with safety and production protocols.
• Operate forklifts safely and in alignment with all site safety requirements.
• Maintain stock integrity by correctly receiving, storing, recording, and issuing products in saleable condition.
• Ensure accurate documentation supports all orders and receipts, promptly reporting any disruptions in operations.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and housekeeping standards throughout work zones.
• Aid team growth through assisting with new staff training and performing other related tasks within the role’s responsibilities.

Candidate Requirements

• Physical fitness to handle frequent lifting, moving, and stacking of crates on pallets; successful completion of a pre-employment medical is compulsory.
• Valid high-risk forklift licence is essential.
• Experience working as a warehouse operator is advantageous.
• Competency with computers including Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance systems.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing work hours, including overtime and shift work as business needs demand.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a close-knit team environment.
• Receptiveness to feedback with a drive to improve personal performance and contribute positively to team success.
