Job Overview

This role involves preparing ingredients for cooking by dividing, cutting, and storing them. Responsibilities include washing and peeling fresh fruits and vegetables, measuring and mixing ingredients, and preparing and cooking food according to recipes, quality, and presentation standards as well as food preparation checklists. The candidate will prepare cold dishes and operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers. Food quality must be monitored throughout preparation and testing ensures proper cooking. The role requires preparing and tidying food workspaces, serving food in appropriate portions and containers, cleaning and sanitizing kitchen tools, knives, equipment, and dining areas, and verifying appliance and food temperatures.

Health, Safety and Compliance

Adherence to company safety and security policies is mandatory. Reporting of maintenance, repair needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management is required. Completion of safety training and certifications is expected. The role demands neat and professional personal appearance and uniform maintenance, strict confidentiality of proprietary information, and protection of company assets. Communication with colleagues must be clear and professional.

Teamwork and Work Environment

Developing and maintaining positive working relationships, supporting the team towards common goals, responding appropriately to colleagues' concerns, and adhering to quality expectations and standards are essential. The job may require prolonged standing, sitting, walking, bending, twisting, reaching overhead and below the knees, and independently lifting or moving items up to 25 pounds. Other reasonable duties may be assigned by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least one year of relevant work experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No licenses or certifications necessary.
