Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Graphic Designer with expertise in the cosmetics, beauty, fragrance, or fashion sectors to join our team on a 6-month contract basis in New York, NY. This hybrid role demands creativity and precision to develop visual designs that uphold and amplify brand identity across diverse media including advertising, packaging, merchandising, print, and digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and produce innovative visual designs that reflect brand requirements and marketing goals.
• Create compelling advertising campaigns, product packaging, retail merchandising visuals, print collateral, digital assets, and comprehensive brand communication materials.
• Prepare production-ready artwork ensuring adherence to brand guidelines and packaging specifications.
• Work closely with marketing, brand management, and production teams to steer projects from conception to final delivery.
• Simultaneously manage multiple design projects while meeting tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Conduct meticulous reviews and proofs of creative materials to guarantee design accuracy, quality compliance, and readiness for production.
• Maintain a keen focus on typography, color usage, layout, and overall aesthetic excellence.

Qualifications & Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years professional experience in graphic design within the beauty, fragrance, or fashion industries.
• A strong portfolio showcasing excellence across print, digital, packaging, and branding projects.
• Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, alongside thorough knowledge of packaging production, print processes, artwork preparation, and file specifications.
• Exceptional organizational skills capable of prioritizing multiple assignments effectively.
• An unwavering commitment to detail and producing polished, brand-consistent creative work.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate productively within cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.

Additional Information

This position offers a 6-month contract with potential for extension or conversion to permanent status. Pay rate ranges between $50 and $52 per hour. The role is hybrid, based in New York, NY.
