Continuous Improvement Specialist - Vertiv Operating Systems

Position Overview

The Continuous Improvement Specialist is entrusted with leading pivotal process optimization initiatives within Vertiv, focusing on enhancing departmental performance through Lean and Six Sigma methodologies aligned with company objectives. This role entails identifying and implementing transformative changes that drive efficient operating systems and measurable improvements across functions.

Main Duties

• Initiate and execute Continuous Improvement (CI) projects across departments, emphasizing Lean and Six Sigma practices.
• Act as a central agent for cultural and procedural transformation, helping departments adopt best-in-class process improvement techniques and remove barriers to project achievement.
• Collaborate directly with department heads to co-own and advance process improvement outcomes.
• Lead organization-wide communication, training, and education on the Vertiv Operating System (VOS).
• Facilitate site assessments using business process analysis, baseline studies, and financial reviews, ensuring continuous performance tracking and enhancement.
• Work as a part of a dedicated team of change makers, engaging not only internal stakeholders but also occasionally dealing with external customers and suppliers as necessary.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent of at least three years of relevant work experience.
• Certification in Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is advantageous.

Professional Experience

• Solid experience successfully executing operational initiatives and process improvements.
• Background in leading teams with diverse backgrounds to meet united objectives.
• Adept in using office productivity and analytical tools such as word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
• Comfortable working across all organizational levels in a matrix environment, with minimal supervision.
• Skilled at identifying client or customer issues and delivering practical, innovative solutions with high standards.
• Strong organizational skills, including the ability to plan, coordinate, and manage several projects simultaneously.
• Execution-oriented mindset with a sense of urgency for delivering results.
• Proven leadership abilities without formal line authority, and confidence in introducing and advocating for new concepts.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication, presentation, and facilitation capabilities.
• Collaborative team player with effective negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in applying systems-thinking principles to analyze and resolve operational challenges.
