Job description
Overview & Responsibilities
Take independent charge of small-scale improvement initiatives or specific workstreams within manufacturing or service operations. Facilitate Kaizen activities, evaluate performance metrics, and implement solutions that enhance safety, quality, delivery timelines, cost efficiency, and overall customer satisfaction. Emphasis is placed on achieving measurable improvements locally and maintaining these gains over time.
Key Job Duties
- Lead improvement projects using methodologies such as A3, PDCA, and DMAIC, along with facilitating Kaizen workshops to cultivate operational enhancements.
- Conduct root cause analyses, suggest corrective actions, and assist with pilot projects and company-wide rollouts.
- Create and revise standard operating procedures, process documents, and training materials to reflect improvements.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), confirm benefits in partnership with the Finance department, and promote ongoing sustainment of changes.
- Engage cross-functionally with teams in manufacturing, service, quality, engineering, supply chain, and finance to support collaborative outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related discipline, or have equivalent experience. Advanced degrees focusing on Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Operational Excellence are advantageous.
- Hold 3 to 5 years of practical experience in continuous improvement or process enhancement in manufacturing, services, or operational settings, including experience managing small-scale projects or workstreams.
- Lean or Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred or underway.
Essential Competencies
- Expertise in conducting Kaizen events and employing structured problem-solving frameworks like A3, PDCA, and DMAIC.
- Capability to develop foundational business cases, set KPIs, and monitor the progress of improvements.
- Familiarity with quality tools such as FMEA basics, control plans, and mistake-proofing techniques.
- Strong aptitude for engaging stakeholders across various departments.
- Independent planning skills with effective prioritization and time management.
- Excellent communication in both written and spoken forms; adept at working within cross-functional teams.
- Comfortable operating in shop floor, repair center, or field service contexts as necessary.
- A process-oriented and leadership-driven mindset.
- Experienced in facilitating meetings and delivering training.
Work Location and Schedule
This role is a full-time permanent position based at KEZAD Free Zone in Abu Dhabi with a hybrid work arrangement.
