Role Summary
As a Compensation Lead, you will be entrusted with the comprehensive oversight of our compensation systems, including tools like Radford for survey reporting and Pave for compensation cycle management. You will ensure these systems are properly configured to align with Affirm's policies and support our workforce effectively. This role is critical in managing daily compensation functions and maintaining program competitiveness and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full management and execution of semiannual compensation processes.
- Lead and contribute to annual compensation benchmark studies to assess Affirm's market position, involving auditing job roles, responsibilities, duties, and requirements.
- Manage benchmarking survey submissions and reviews, and recommend modifications to cash and equity compensation structures and ranges.
- Conduct special compensation projects, including incentive pay analyses, equity program reviews, and pay equity evaluations.
- Direct compensation reporting for all supported geographic regions.
- Support compensation-related training initiatives and communication efforts.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in compensation or people analytics roles.
- Proficiency with compensation management platforms, preferably Pave.
- A strong analytical mindset with a passion for data analysis and converting complex data into actionable insights using tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, Sigma Computing, or Claude Code.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong sense of accountability, capable of working independently and collaboratively.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across departments, maintaining clear and comprehensive communication to meet deadlines.
- Exemplary judgment and integrity in managing confidential and sensitive information.
- Experience handling multifaceted data evaluations and problem-solving within compensation contexts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for varied audiences including senior leadership.
- Highly organized and flexible in managing multiple and shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements related to compensation plans and programs.
Compensation Details
This role is classified in Pay Grade K and Equity Grade 4. New employees typically start at the lower end of the pay scale. Affirm employs a transparent pay structure informed by factors such as location, experience, and job-specific skills. For this position, base salary ranges from CAD 112,000 to CAD 172,000 annually. The full compensation package may include equity awards, monthly stipends for health, wellness, and technology expenses, along with comprehensive benefits including fully covered medical, dental, and vision care for employees and their dependents.
Additional Information
Please note this position does not provide visa sponsorship. Affirm operates as a remote-first company, enabling most roles to be performed remotely from within the country of employment. Employees in geographically proximate roles may occasionally be required to work from a designated Affirm office, although some roles remain office-based due to job requirements.
