Role Overview

We seek a Communications & Marketing Associate to join us during a period of growth. This multifaceted role blends content creation, public relations support, event organization, and campaign coordination. It is well-suited for someone eager to quickly develop skills across numerous marketing domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage planning, scheduling, and publication of content across social media channels while ensuring brand consistency and monitoring performance.
• Create engaging blog posts, newsletters, LinkedIn updates, and email campaigns that effectively communicate complex scientific topics in an accessible manner.
• Support public relations efforts including tracking media mentions, compiling coverage reports, drafting press releases, and preparing briefing notes for senior leadership.
• Assist in organizing conferences, trade fairs, and webinars, including providing logistical support during events.
• Help implement and monitor marketing campaigns across communication and commercial marketing teams.
• Maintain organization of the content calendar, e-mail mailing lists, and sales collateral repository.
• Conduct competitive analysis, track sector trends, and gather audience insights to provide concise reports for team use.

Candidate Profile

• Strong writing skills with the ability to tailor tone and style to varying audiences and formats.
• Digitally savvy, comfortable with LinkedIn and interested in factors behind content effectiveness.
• Highly organized and proactive, adept at juggling multiple responsibilities and adhering to deadlines.
• A genuine interest in life sciences, genomics, or health technology; scientific qualifications are not mandatory but enthusiasm for the mission is essential.
• A cooperative team member who can take direction from two different senior managers while maintaining initiative.

Preferred but Not Essential

• Previous experience in marketing, communications, or content roles.
• Familiarity with digital tools such as Webflow, Mailchimp, Sprout Social, Canva, or Figma.
• An interest in media relations, event planning, or public relations activities.
