Role overview
This opportunity is being shared on behalf of a partner employer, which will handle applications and all subsequent hiring steps. The role is for a Commercial Learning & Enablement Manager based in the United States.
In this position, you will own the strategy and delivery of a broad commercial learning program that helps sales teams, channel partners, and internal stakeholders perform at a higher level. Your work will focus on creating scalable, engaging learning experiences that support onboarding, ongoing development, product rollouts, and sales enablement efforts. You will collaborate with product, marketing, sales, and subject matter experts to build training that improves commercial outcomes and strengthens knowledge retention. The role suits someone who blends instructional design expertise with confident facilitation skills and a strong interest in using learning to drive business impact.
Key accountabilities
- Build and execute a commercial learning and enablement plan that supports business objectives and commercial priorities.
- Create, update, and enhance onboarding journeys, certification tracks, continuous learning content, and training for new product introductions.
- Produce learning assets in a range of formats, such as instructor-led sessions, live virtual training, eLearning, video content, slide presentations, job aids, and sales enablement tools.
- Lead learning delivery in classroom, virtual, and self-directed formats while adapting the approach to different learner groups and objectives.
- Develop training that covers product knowledge, commercial capabilities, value proposition, go-to-market direction, and customer engagement.
- Oversee the learning management system and associated learning tools to keep them effective and up to date.
- Track learning impact using feedback, completion data, and business results, then apply those insights to improve future programs.
- Work closely with cross-functional partners to uncover learning needs and support product launches and commercial initiatives.
- Coordinate several projects at once while maintaining consistent quality across all learning experiences.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Marketing, Communications, or a similar area, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 5-7+ years of experience in learning and development, instructional design, product training, sales enablement, or a comparable discipline.
- Proven ability to design and deliver classroom-based, virtual, and digital learning programs.
- Strong experience building technical, commercial, or product-oriented training content.
- Good command of adult learning theory, instructional design practices, and current learning technologies.
- Hands-on experience managing learning management systems and producing digital learning materials.
- Excellent skills in facilitation, presentation, communication, and interpersonal collaboration.
- Strong project coordination and organization skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Clear ability to work across teams and influence stakeholders at different levels.
- Experience assessing training effectiveness and using data to improve learning outcomes.
- Exposure to industrial, manufacturing, safety, or similar technical B2B settings is preferred.
- Must be willing to travel up to 25% when needed.
