Job Overview
The Clinical Technology Specialist is crucial in enabling the effective application of cutting-edge surgical equipment. The position includes thorough training to develop confident use of these technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and operate surgical technology equipment, offering technical support to surgeons and clinical staff before and during surgeries.
- Complete preoperative checklists, sterilize and calibrate equipment, and ensure accurate documentation.
- Transport and set up surgical technology at various healthcare sites, involving daily driving duties and occasional overnight travel.
- Adhere to safety protocols in vehicle operation, workplace environment, and laser technology use.
- Deliver excellent customer service by addressing client needs and maintaining strong professional relationships with ForTec colleagues and healthcare partners.
Candidate Requirements
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, occasional weekends, and overnight trips.
- A professional attitude with collaborative team spirit.
- Compliance with medical facilities’ credentialing requirements, including necessary immunizations.
- Competency with computers and smartphones.
- Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license without major violations.
- Physical capability to handle medical equipment weighing over 50 pounds and to frequently bend, stoop, sit, or stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualities
- Background in healthcare fields such as medical services, EMT, surgical technology, or military experience is advantageous.
- Experience managing long, irregular workdays with early start times and eagerness to learn—training will be provided.
