Cleaning Operative

About the Role

We are currently seeking a dedicated Cleaning Operative to join our team at New Square, a bustling shopping centre located in West Bromwich town centre. This is a full-time, permanent position with a flexible working pattern designed to support a balanced lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities

• Taking full responsibility for carrying out routine cleaning tasks within assigned areas.
• Working independently to maintain cleaning standards set by the company.
• Upholding a professional image on behalf of ABM UK and its clients, ensuring excellent representation of company standards.
• Executing all duties as directed by immediate supervisors or managers based on job specifications tailored to the site.
• Engaging fully with training sessions and applying proper cleaning techniques consistently.
• Maintaining cleaning equipment in a clean, safe, and operable condition.
• Demonstrating polite and respectful interaction with staff and customers alike.

Requirements

• Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
• Previous experience in a similar cleaning role is advantageous but not required, as full training will be provided.

Additional Information

• Weekly contractual hours total 25 hours.
• Shift pattern follows 4 days on work followed by 3 days off, with flexibility.
• Hourly remuneration is set at £12.81.
