Cleaning and Waste Operative

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Cleaning and Waste Operative to join our team in a warehouse environment. The position involves maintaining cleanliness across the warehouse space, including washrooms and canteen areas, while managing waste disposal effectively. This is a permanent, full-time role with a shift schedule from 2 pm to 10 pm, four days on followed by two days off, totaling 35 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties and keep all warehouse areas tidy, including washrooms and canteens.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, materials, and products ensuring they are clean, well-maintained, and safe.
• Respond promptly to client call-outs related to cleaning or waste issues.
• Manage and dispose of waste in line with operational standards.
• Adhere strictly to Health & Safety legislation and company policies; training will be provided.

Requirements

• Motivation, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• A flexible attitude towards job duties and scheduling.
• No prior experience required, as full training will be delivered.
• Successful completion of a Basic Disclosure Check and possible drug and alcohol screening.
