Position Overview
Amey is seeking a dedicated Cleaner/Housekeeper to join the team at HMP Berwyn, Wrexham Industrial Estate, providing crucial cleaning services within a Ministry of Justice contract environment. This full-time role requires contributing to the maintenance of a safe and sanitary prison facility that supports justice services across England and Wales.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver cleaning services in strict accordance with contractual standards
- Manage inventory and place orders for required cleaning supplies
- Operate cleaning machinery correctly and safely, following all training and guidelines
- Maintain high service quality, ensuring satisfaction of building occupants
Candidate Profile
- Team-oriented individual demonstrating reliability, punctuality, and flexibility
- Strong awareness of environmental practices and safety procedures
- Proven experience with chemical usage and machinery operation in cleaning
- Familiarity with cleaning large facilities and comfortable working in prison settings
Additional Details
This opportunity includes working 39 hours weekly with a shift pattern from Monday to Thursday 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM and Friday 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. The hourly pay is £13.45. Successful applicants will undergo prison security clearance, with support provided through this process.
