About the Role

Responsibilities

• Ensure all dishes, glassware, utensils, and pots are cleaned and sanitized to uphold our quality standards.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness in the dish room, dish machine, and storage areas.
• Support the team by assisting in cleaning various restaurant areas, putting away deliveries, preparing basic food items, and assisting with cooking chicken when needed.
• Contribute to delivering an exceptional guest experience consistent with Nando’s brand values.

Requirements and Expectations

• Ability to follow instructions and collaborate effectively within a team setting.
• Maintain composure and efficiency while working under pressure.
• Demonstrate commitment to quality service and possess knowledge of food and beverage handling.
• Understand safety, sanitation, and food handling protocols.
• Possess basic English communication skills for professional interaction.

Physical Demands

• Capable of lifting up to 15 pounds independently for extended periods.
• Ability to stand, walk, and maneuver stairs while carrying food items and dishes during shifts.
• Prepared to stand or walk for 8-10 hours daily.
• Good hand-eye coordination with abilities to reach, bend, twist, stoop, push, pull, and lift overhead.
• Must be able to climb stairs if working in a multi-level restaurant setting.
