Class 1 Driver

Job Location and Shift

This position is based at Eurocentral, Scotland, and operates on a 4-on 4-off shift pattern covering both day and night shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a curtain sider trailer for a variety of tasks, including the collection and delivery of local palletised goods and trunking to ensure prompt service.
• Secure all loads properly using straps, nets, and other securing equipment to prevent movement or damage during transport.
• Conduct thorough daily safety inspections of the vehicle, reporting findings via your company phone to maintain consistent vehicle safety and reliability.
• Maintain ongoing communication with the transport team to provide delivery updates and guarantee customer satisfaction.
• Engage in regular training sessions to keep up to date with industry standards and practices.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

• Possession of a UK Class 1 CE Driver Licence.
• Valid DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Commitment to excellent customer service and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong teamwork attitude, polite and confident interpersonal skills.
• Good knowledge of local geography.
• Physically fit, adaptable, hardworking, and self-driven.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive hourly pay of 17.42 with an extra 2.75 per hour for work between 21:00 and 04:00.
• Shift schedule of 4 days on, 4 days off including both day and night shifts with varying start times.
