Role Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic Casual Retail Consultants to become part of our new store teams, with one position based in Napier and another in Hastings. Your primary duty is to deliver outstanding customer service by providing personalized assistance, genuinely understanding customers' needs, and recommending suitable products. The role involves meeting sales targets and store performance indicators such as conversion rates, customer satisfaction scores, and average transaction values.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify customer requirements and suggest matching products
• Maintain thorough product knowledge to explain features and benefits accurately
• Promote additional sales through up-selling and cross-selling opportunities and inform customers about promotions
• Consistently deliver exceptional customer interactions
• Embody company values in every customer engagement
• Ensure the store presentation adheres to Visual Merchandising standards
• Handle customer concerns promptly by resolving or escalating issues as needed

Desired Skills and Experience

• Minimum of two years’ retail experience, preferably within home or lifestyle product sectors
• Ability to connect with customers to help realize their home vision
• Proactive and confident approach to meeting and exceeding sales goals
• Strong communication skills and proficient with computers
• Capability to manage a balance between customer support and administrative duties
• Passion for home styling, furniture, or creating inviting living environments is advantageous
• Commitment to living the company values: adding value, distinctiveness, personal touch, expertise, and authenticity
• Physical ability to safely perform manual handling tasks including lifting and moving various sized furniture items
• Applicants must be New Zealand citizens, residents, or hold a valid work visa permitting employment in New Zealand
