Cargo Services Agent

Role Overview

The Cargo Services Agent at Qatar Aviation Services is entrusted with delivering a broad range of operational duties focused on effective cargo handling and processing at the warehouse, strictly adhering to established Standard Operating Procedures. This role ensures compliance with all operational protocols while maintaining safety and security standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Retrieve and store cargo from multiple storage points following SOPs that guarantee the proper handling of sensitive items such as Dangerous Goods, Valuables, Perishables, Couriers, Live Animals, and Diplomatic Mail.
• Manage prioritization of breakdown, build-up, and delivery processes for shipments requiring special attention due to their priority status or nature, aligning with operational priorities.
• Carry out flight-related cargo build-up and breakdown activities and coordinate delivery using available resources to maintain operational KPIs.
• Liaise with various operational departments within Cargo to uphold timely performance across all functional areas.
• Execute assigned tasks from section supervisors ensuring compliance with Cargo handling procedures and Service Level Agreements with client airlines.
• Undertake additional departmental duties as assigned by the Head of Department to meet deadlines and preserve department KPIs.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum qualification of High School diploma with at least one year of relevant work experience.
• Understanding of specialized cargo handling including Dangerous Goods, Perishables, and Live Animals.
• Proficient command of the English language.
• Capability to lead and support junior team members.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office suite effectively.
