Role Overview

This position reports to the Senior Manager or Director of Business Performance & Analysis and is scheduled during 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM IST shift. The Business Performance Analyst is responsible for guiding business performance and financial planning processes within certain operational segments. Key responsibilities include driving forecasting activities, analyzing performance data to deliver actionable insights, supporting client retention, and acting as a crucial interface between finance and operations to enable data-informed decisions and agile responses.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle forecasting, budgeting, and variance reporting within designated segments, acting as the primary liaison with operations and sales.
• Collaborate with commercial finance teams to evaluate new business opportunities such as partnerships and mergers, providing expert analysis on deal viability.
• Establish strong partnerships with business units to ensure alignment and integration for optimized outcomes.
• Support client retention programs by refining and enhancing business strategies through collaboration with key stakeholders.
• Deliver future-focused insights to influence strategic decisions and anticipate market trends.
• Perform detailed financial analyses and create presentations to assist leadership in business evaluation.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting efforts to ensure consistency with operational and financial objectives.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms and governance, identifying improvements to maximize results.
• Continuously monitor financial risks and opportunities, recommending and implementing mitigation methods.
• Utilize Sodexo’s global tools including AI technologies for fostering a data-driven decision-making culture.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as required.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills

• Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, or Accounting; possession of CPA is highly valued.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in operational finance with a focus on partnering with operations to enhance financial and operational results.
• Strong background in budgeting, business partnerships, costing, and financial analysis.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Advanced Excel skills, including VBA, pivot tables, and complex formulas.
• Experience in data analytics with knowledge of SQL or Python and single variable regression analysis.
• Understanding of project management principles including problem-solving and communication delivery.
• Fluent English communication skills (speaking, writing, reading); bilingual proficiency in French may be required.
