Job description
Role Overview
As a Business Development Associate at Fusion Building Materials (Vizag) Private Limited, you will spearhead the growth initiatives for AAC Blocks, PCC/Concrete Blocks, Wall Panels, and Solar Panels within your assigned region. The position requires strategic market penetration and relationship building with various stakeholders in the construction and infrastructure sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement business development plans focused on expanding sales of AAC Blocks, PCC Blocks, Wall Panels, and Solar Panels across designated areas.
- Identify fresh sales opportunities by engaging builders, developers, contractors, architects, structural consultants, infrastructure firms, and industrial projects.
- Establish and nurture a robust network comprising dealers, distributors, retailers, and suppliers of construction materials.
- Conduct regular site visits to construction projects to assess needs, generate leads, and convert inquiries into confirmed sales.
- Strengthen partnerships with architects, engineers, project consultants, and procurement teams to promote product usage and secure project endorsements.
- Prepare quotations and negotiate terms related to pricing, payment, and deliveries in alignment with company management.
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly and annual targets across sales volume, revenue, and product categories.
- Perform comprehensive competitor analysis, including pricing strategies, product quality assessment, market share evaluation, dealer margins, and customer preferences.
- Identify untapped markets and develop strategies for appointing new dealers and distributors.
- Collaborate with production, logistics, and dispatch teams to ensure prompt deliveries and continuous supply to clients.
- Track outstanding payments and liaise between accounts and customers to ensure timely collections and effective credit control.
- Conduct product demonstrations and technical discussions that underline the advantages, applications, and cost-effectiveness of the products.
- Generate leads via direct marketing, referrals, site visits, exhibitions, digital inquiries, and active local market networking.
- Maintain a detailed database of prospects including customers, dealers, projects, architects, and contractors, with consistent follow-up for conversion.
- Monitor construction projects from initial planning through execution to secure supply contracts.
- Coordinate samples, demonstrations, and technical support as needed.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering repeat business.
- Prepare comprehensive sales reports and market insights for management periodically.
- Analyze sales performance, current market trends, and territory-specific potential to recommend strategic interventions.
- Support management efforts for entering new product markets, institutional sales, and large project orders.
- Ensure strict adherence to company policies concerning pricing, credit control, sales documentation, and customer service standards.
