Key Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and document business requirements, processes, workflows, rules, and data necessities.
• Lead workshops and discussions with stakeholders to uncover business needs, clarify scope, and ensure consensus.
• Convert business requirements into detailed documentation such as user stories, acceptance criteria, functional specs, and process flows.
• Keep all analysis documentation updated for projects assigned.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, product owners, and testers to assist in solution delivery.
• Clarify requirements during design and development phases; assist in backlog refinement as needed.
• Support testing efforts, including defining test scenarios, facilitating user acceptance tests, and following up on issues.
• Assist with implementation, deployment, and post-release activities including tracking defects, changes, and dependencies.
• Use SQL and data analytics to resolve issues, verify requirements, and aid business decision-making.
• Assess existing processes, reports, and data to spot inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives by suggesting practical solutions and documenting their impact.
• Serve as a liaison between business teams and technical groups to foster mutual understanding.
• Participate in developing shared business analysis practices, templates, and standards.
• Work effectively with distributed teams across multiple locations and time zones.
• Adhere to documentation, traceability, compliance, and change management standards.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Information Systems, Finance or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Approximately 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a comparable position.
• Familiarity with financial services sectors such as credit, private equity, or investment operations.
• Proven ability to gather and document business requirements and support team-based solution delivery.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and comfortable using data for analysis and validation.
• Good grasp of data structures, flows, and their role in supporting business workflows and reporting.
• Skillful at translating business needs into coherent, structured documentation including process and workflow diagrams.
• Strong analytical thinking, organizational capabilities, and communication skills.
• Able to work collaboratively with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Interest or understanding of banking, insurance, investments, or credit businesses.
• A proactive mindset with eagerness to learn and adapt.

Preferred Attributes

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban.
• Experience with SaaS platforms, business apps, or third-party systems.
• Background in supporting testing, implementation, or post-launch processes.
• Experience in data analysis, reporting, or process optimization efforts.
• Familiarity with Excel and tools for process mapping or diagramming.
• Relevant certifications in Business Analysis, Agile, or Project Management.
