About the Role
Sky Handling Partner seeks a dedicated Coach Driver to join their airside operations team at Dublin Airport. This role places you at the core of airport activities, ensuring passengers are transported safely and efficiently between terminals and aircraft while maintaining excellent service standards. The work environment is dynamic, offering varied daily experiences that require adaptability and dedication.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections to confirm coaches are safe and operational.
- Safely transport passengers between aircraft and the terminal building.
- Provide passengers with a courteous and professional journey experience.
- Prioritize safety at all times during driving and while assisting passengers.
- Inspect coaches for lost property before and after trips.
- Uphold cleanliness and neat appearance of the coach interior and exterior.
- Promptly communicate any delays, incidents, or operational issues to supervisors.
- Report technical faults or maintenance concerns as soon as they occur.
- Follow uniform and safety protocols, including wearing high-visibility gear.
- Assist the wider operational team with additional tasks when needed.
Requirements
- Possession of a valid, unrestricted Category D License to drive passenger coaches.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
- Successful clearance of a 5-year security background check and Garda vetting.
- Legal entitlement to live and work within the European Union.
- Strong competency in English, both spoken and written.
- Flexibility to work in rostered shifts, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- Ability to remain calm and organized in a high-pressure, fast-paced airport environment.
- Dependability with excellent punctuality and attendance records.
- Maintain a professional appearance complying with company grooming and uniform standards.
Terms and Conditions
This is a full-time, permanent position with an initial probation period of six months. The role follows a 4 days on, 2 days off shift cycle, totaling a 37.5-hour workweek. Employees receive a competitive gross salary of €37,000 annually, with overtime compensated at 1.5 times the hourly rate. Shift patterns may require early starts, late finishes, and weekend work.
